Communicating Nurture Group’s largest acquisition to date

The Nurture Group is a multi-award-winning, nationwide service provider encompassing five well established brands, delivering the most comprehensive range of grounds maintenance, landscaping, workplace solutions and green services to a diverse client base across the UK.

Strategic PR approach successfully addressing thr challenges, resulting in increased brand visibility, stronger client engagement, and effective communication of its business offerings, growth story and commitment to sustainable practices

The Challenge

When long-standing client Nurture Group moved to acquire Tivoli its 50th and largest deal, creating the UK’s first £245 million fully integrated landscaping and grounds-maintenance powerhouse, it faced a dual communications hurdle. Externally, the team had to seize control of a headline-grabbing M&A story in a fragmented market and ensure the narrative spotlighted Nurture’s sustainability and service leadership. Internally, more than 4,000 employees across two cultures needed swift, confidence-building clarity on what the merger meant for their jobs, the brand, work culture and the business’s growth trajectory.

The Solution

Montpellier built a unified communications framework to serve both audiences. We distilled a single rallying cry, One greener future, delivered locally’, then launched a 24-hour internal cascade: internal communications, FAQs and crisis mitigation to pre-empt uncertainty. In parallel, an embargoed press-office operation rolled out multi-angle releases covering growth, green credentials and regional employment, secured exclusives with FMJ and Facilities Management, and issued bespoke statements to local authorities, analysts and top-tier clients.

The Result

Within 72 hours, the acquisition commanded the conversation: 30-plus tier-one and regional articles including The Business Desk and Facilitate Magazine, delivered a 27 percent share-of-voice jump over Nurture’s three nearest rivals. Internally, sentiment was positive, and employees began submitting integration ideas. cementing Nurture Landscapes Group as the UK’s undisputed leader in integrated landscape and grounds-maintenance services.
