Montpellier PR, a leading PR company based in Cheltenham specialising in defence technology and healthcare, has been awarded the Gold Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Award by the Ministry of Defence. This places the company among just 1,200 organisations across the UK to hold Gold status – the highest accolade in the ERS’S tiered recognition system.

 

The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme honours employers who actively support the Armed Forces community – including serving personnel, veterans, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, and military families – and who advocate for defence-friendly employment practices within their industry. Its aim is to encourage recruitment from this skilled talent pool, assist service leavers with resettlement into civilian careers and foster a sense of national pride to those who serve and have served.

The ERS operates on three levels – Bronze, Silver, and Gold – with Gold recognising only those employers who go well beyond their Armed Forces Covenant pledges through measurable action, advocacy, and long-term support.
